The required "Class A" (formal) uniform for Pack 291 is the shirt, neckerchief with slide, and belt. The uniform hat, pants, socks, etc. are considered optional. Families will often purchase the hat, but the pants and other accessories are rarely purchased. Note that the uniform is different based on the scout's rank, as outlined in the sections below.
The pack provides each cub scout with a neckerchief, slide, and handbook every year based on their rank. These items are included in the annual registration fees, and do not need to be purchased individually.
Class A uniforms are required for all Pack Meetings, special pack events, and any flag ceremonies (color guard, parades, Flag Day, etc.). Either the Class A or Class B uniforms are required for den meetings, at the discretion of the den leader. Please note that scouts WILL NOT be able to participate in flag ceremonies or parades if they are not in their Class A uniform.
Uniform items can be purchased from the Strong Scout Shop at 2320 Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Rd. and now uniforms can be ordered online using the BSA Uniform Request Form.
If you visit the store, ask a store associate for help, and they will show you the items you need for the uniform.

It is acceptable in the Webelos (fourth grade) year for youth to wear either the blue or tan Class A shirts. New members should purchase the tan shirt, as it will carry them over into Boy Scouts/Scouts BSA. Otherwise, you may purchase the tan shirt for either the fourth or fifth grade year, depending on how your child has grown. Scouts must have the tan shirt for their Arrow of Light (fifth grade) year.
